About M-Tech
M-Tech evolved from husband and wife team, Paul & Ann McMorran, having previously owned a large garage. Now realising the importance of providing a one-to-one customer service as a priority, M-Tech remains small and personal.
Paul McMorran left school to study engineering and after qualifying he worked for Sigma Engineering a specialist automotive engineers in Gillingham. Paul looks back to this time thankful for the expert knowledge he gained. His boss was a perfectionist and taught him as an engineer and not simply a fitter Fabrication and special tuning of road and race cars was a daily task. This specialist grounding gave him an appetite to start his own business and in 1989 Paul launched Autotechnics. The aim was to provide a top class workshop for every day cars giving the customer a real alternative to main dealers notoriously impersonal and expensive. Over the following 15 years Paul built up, with the help of his business partner, a thriving business. The secret to his success was to excel in diagnostic skills and to win new customers by solving problems other garages failed to find.
At the beginning of 2005 Paul decided to sell his share in Autotechnics to concentrate on all makes, superchips and service and sales of VW Audi, Seat & Skoda.
Pauls new business specialises in performance enhancing software [or chipping] a popular and increasing market, exploiting the manufacturers use of computer controlled systems on cars. A typical turbo diesel car rechipped can benefit from substantially improved acceleration and performance yet in most cases improves fuel economy without any increased stress on the engine. By fine tuning the engines computer software performance and economy gains are achievable on most makes and models petrol or diesel. Even vans trucks and tractors can benefit in the same way.
With the increase in vehicle complexity and lengthening of servicing intervals Paul is confident his new venture will succeed in the same way as his first marks in his region.
Paul has also recently become a partner to Revo Technik, who specialise in diagnostic and tuning software.
